PHOTOS: St. James Fire District 9/11 Park Prior to Unveiling Ceremony
Tropical Storm Irene delayed the completion of the 9/11 memorial park in St. James, but it will still be on display to the public Sunday.
Tropical storms and recent heavy rain won't stop the St. James Fire District from unveiling of the 9/11 memorial park as planned.
The park, which features a section of World Trade Center steel, will be on display to the public in a ceremony at the fire district substation on Jefferson Avenue on Sunday at 1 p.m. Sod was set to be installed on Aug. 27, the day before Tropical Storm Irene hit, but was postponed until after the Sunday ceremony.
Patch cameras captured images of what the park will look like during Sunday's ceremony.
