Sections of Main Street Power Restored; Restorations Begin In Town
Power restorations have begun throughout the town, but a majority of residents are still without electricity.

Sections of Main Street in Smithtown have had power restored Monday afternoon and restorations are taking place slowly throughout the town.
Power has been restored from Landing Avenue to Lawrence Avenue and west of Brooksite Drive.
Throughout the Town of Smithtown, of 41,519 customers, 21,501 have not had their power restored.

According to the LIPA coverage map, Sunday into Monday morning all of Smithtown, St. James and Nisseqogue were without power. The map now shows power restoration in these areas, as well as Head of the Harbor and Village of the Branch, has begun.
In Smithtown, 6,713 customers of 9,982 are still without power; Village of the Branch, 690 of 808 customers are without power; of the 5,444 customers in St. James, 4,563 don't have power; of the 679 customers in Nisseqogue, 568 don't have power; and out of 599 customers in Head of the Harbor, 389 have not had power restored.
