Smithtown Agenda: Grease, Kids Night Out

Keep the Independence Day celebrations going all weekend with a performance of an American classic, "Grease." 

SMITHTOWN

Kids

• Smithtown Recreation Program offers a pre-school readiness program  for children ages 18 months - 5 years, participate with a caregiver on Friday.

Entertainment

• Aaah, those summer nights. Catch a performance of Grease this weekend at the Smithtown Theater.

HAUPPAUGE

Benefit

• Hauppauge High School Cheerleaders are holding a car wash this Saturday in the high school’s front circle. Stop by to get your vehicle scrubbed clean, money goes towards the team’s trip to attend Universal Cheerleaders Association Nationals.

Live Music

• When it comes to al fresco dining this summer, Blend Wine and Tapas is the place to be. Live music fills the outdoor patio Thursday through Saturday at the restaurant, located at 321 Nesconset Hwy., in Hauppauge. This weekend, features Greg Varro on Friday, Deuces Wild on Saturday and wraps up the weekend with Erin Chase on Sunday.

Music

• Catch the sounds of Abraxas, a Carlos Santana cover band featuring Juan Remus, as Musical Moments hosts  its third season of free, live, outdoor events in Russ Savat Park on Main Street in Kings Park this Friday night at 7:30.

Festivals

• The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sunday from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the municipal parking lot across from the firehouse on Main Street. • Join LA Boxing for its grand re-opening celebration as UFC Gym this Saturday, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be free classes, raffles, give-a-ways and more.

• Catch some live music at Perfecto Mundo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday featuring the sounds of Tim Da Costa. On Sundays, have an original portrait painted of you while you sit back and sip a beverage from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Cost is $40 - 70.
