Smithtown HS West Music Students Visit Manhattan
Students saw "Sweeney Todd" on Broadway, ate at Carmine's Italian Restaurant, and strolled Central Park.
MANHATTAN, NY β Students from Smithtown High School West's Tri-M Music Honor Society Chapter #1338 recently enjoyed a wonderful day in New York City, the school district announced.
The day featured a performance of the Stephen Sondheim masterpiece, "Sweeney Todd" on
Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. After viewing the show, Marielle Krockta, a junior, said that "The Tri-M field trip to Sweeney Todd on Broadway was exceptional and I look forward to many more trips with the honor society."
Prior to the show, all students enjoyed a meal at Carmine's Italian Restaurant, as well as a leisurely stroll in Central Park to view the Bethesda Fountain.

"I am so glad we are able to have such incredible experiences and opportunities," Smithtown High School West senior Matthew Lasher said.
