Smithtown Police Blotter: BMW Stolen From Dealership
ALSO: A woman was scammed into sending photos of gift cards, police say.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Aug. 22: Grand larceny (fourth-degree: value of property greater than $1,000) was reported on Nadia Court in Smithtown at 6:55 p.m. A woman sent photos of gift cards after she was contacted by a fraudulent number, police said.
- Aug. 19: Grand larceny (fourth-degree: motor vehicle value exceeds $100) was reported on Middle Country Road in St. James at 12:02 p.m. Someone stole a 2022 BMW from the lot of Ford of Smithtown, police said.
