Smithtown Police Blotter: BMW Stolen From Dealership

SMITHTOWN, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? Check out the recent crimes reported in the area between Aug. 19 and Aug. 25.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

• Aug. 22: Grand larceny (fourth-degree: value of property greater than $1,000) was reported on Nadia Court in Smithtown at 6:55 p.m. A woman sent photos of gift cards after she was contacted by a fraudulent number, police said.
• Aug. 19: Grand larceny (fourth-degree: motor vehicle value exceeds $100) was reported on Middle Country Road in St. James at 12:02 p.m. Someone stole a 2022 BMW from the lot of Ford of Smithtown, police said.
