Pervert Rubs Groin On Woman At Canal Street Subway Station, Police Say

Police are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman in April.

SOHO, NY — A man gyrated his groin against a woman inside the Canal Street subway station, police said.

The man is accused of approaching his 24-year-old victim inside the station as she waited for a northbound 6 train on April 27. It's unknown why they NYPD waited nearly two months to release details.

The man approached the woman from behind and "rubbed his pelvic region on the victim's buttocks," police said. He then boarded a train while the woman reported the incident to an agent at the station booth, authorities said.

Police released a photo from a surveillance camera inside the station as well as a photo taken by another person shortly after the alleged assault.
