Bollywood Style Flash Mob Scene Filming In Hamptons

Got your Bollywood moves on in Southampton Thursday!

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — If you've ever dreamt of filming a flash mob scene, your chance is set to unfold in the heart of the Hamptons.

A Bollywood-style flash mob scene in the style of "La La Land" will burst into life at 4 p.m. Thursday at 475 David Whites Lane in Southampton, with a rehearsal to begin at 3 p.m. — and all you have to do to participate is to attend a Douglas Elliman open house.

Extras are needed for the dance scene, the finale of the film. Many of the extras will be jumping in the pool as part of the grand finale so participants are asked to leave wallets and cell phones in their cars; there will be a “coat check” for car keys so they don’t get wet. A change of clothes and a towel is necessary.

Anyone who attends any one of the three open houses listed below and then comes to the Bollywood ending will receive a Douglas Elliman canvas swag bag filled from goodies from local businesses.

The public is welcome to participate and to have their images in the film provided that they sign releases allowing for those images to be used in the end product. Anyone not willing to sign the release and indemnification cannot be in the film and cannot come to any of the “open houses” or grand finale.

The shooting schedule is as follows:

9:45 a.m.: The “family” will walk through Elliman’s Southampton office.

Noon to 12:30 p.m.: An open house at 901 Seven Ponds Towd Road.

1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.: Open house at 474 Edge of Woods.

3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Open house at 475 David Whites Lane, Bollywood Flash Mob ending.

"We felt this was a creative new way to expose our listings by following the protagonist of the movie, a little girl who runs around the kitchen islands and runs around the pool with her sister instead of the normal 'listing videos' that we are all accustomed to seeing," organizers said. "So we are making this short movie as a branding piece for the Avigdor/Penkova team and the parent company."
