Man Charged With DWI After 2-Car Crash In Flanders: Police

The crash took place Tuesday night, police say.

FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene after a two-car crash Tuesday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 8:24 p.m. at the intersection of Flanders Road and Cypress Avenue in Flanders.

Responding officers eventually located Alfredo Coc-Bhor, 41, who had left the scene, police said.

Officers determined that he, while in an intoxicated condition, failed to yield to the right-of-way to oncoming traffic while exiting a business’ parking lot, causing the two-car collision, police said.

As a result of the crash, two of the vehicles were rendered disabled and required towing from the scene; no injuries were reported, police said.

Coc-Bhor was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI; leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, a violation; and an additional traffic violation, police said.

Coc-Bhor was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters, where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
