How Are The Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Suspect's Jailhouse Visits Conducted?
Rex Heuermann, considered no different than other inmates in terms of visits, met his estranged wife Wednesday. Here's the sheriff's rules.
RIVERSIDE, NY — Jailed suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann met with his estranged wife at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility's Riverside location on Wednesday, her attorney confirmed.
Heuermann, who was charged in the deaths of three women, all sex workers whose remains were found at Gilgo Beach, has been housed in the jail since his arrest in July.
Under his incarceration pending his trial, Heuermann is "allowed the same visitations that all other inmates are entitled to," said Suffolk Sheriff Errol Toulon's spokeswoman Victoria DeStefano on Thursday.
