At Least 1 Seriously Injured In Southampton Rollover Crash: Officials

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A serious rollover crash was reported on Sunrise Highway Monday afternoon, officials said.

According to Chris Brenner, public information officer for the Southampton Fire Department, the crash took place at 2:02 p.m. in the eastbound lane, just east of the Peconic Road Bridge and Exit 66 in Southampton.

Traffic was stopped in both directions as Suffolk County aviation landed on the highway to transport an individual to Stony Brook University Hospital, he said.
