Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Parked Cars In East Quogue: Police
The incident took place Sunday night, police say.
EAST QUOGUE, NY — A New Jersey man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after an East Quogue crash Sunday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at around 10:23 p.m. on Lewis Road. James Vega, 40, was driving southbound on Lewis Road when he struck several other parked and unoccupied vehicles on the side of the roadway, police said.
Vega told police that he had crashed into two parked cars while driving; upon further investigation, it was determined that Vega was driving while intoxicated, police said.

Vega was arrested and transported to the Southampton Town police headquarters for processing; he was charged with misdemeanor DWI and several vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.
H was held to appear at Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said.
