Planning Board Vets Cellphone Tower Proposal Thursday Night

A public scoping session to look at the environmental impacts of a long proposed cellphone tower in Bridgehampton will be held Thursday night. 

The Southampton Town Planning Board will look further at the site plan and special exception application for the construction of a 120-foot tall monopole wireless communications facility at 61 Foster Ave.

Elite Towers and AT&T proposed placing the cellphone tower on the16,213 square foot parcel, next to a car repair shop on the industrial road. The application has been pending since 2012.

The board meets at Town Hall in Southampton at 7 p.m.
