Memorial Day 2025: Parades, Tributes On The South Fork
Here's a look at what parades and services will take place on the South Fork this Memorial Day.

EAST END, NY — Across Long Island, residents and visitors alike will pay tribute to the fallen on Memorial Day Monday.
On the South Fork, here's a look at where services will be held:
HAMPTON BAYS

The annual Memorial Day ceremony takes place Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Veterans' Monument at the American Legion Hand-Aldrich Post 924, located at 55 Ponquogue Avenue. Observers and participants are asked to be seated no later than 9:45 a.m. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be food and drinks downstairs in the hall. All are welcome to join.
SOUTHAMPTON

The Village of Southampton Commission on Veterans Patriotic Events hosts its Memorial Day Service Monday May 26 at 11 a.m. in Agawam Park. Before the service, a parade kicks off at 10:45 am. at the Presbyterian Church, heading down Job's Lane.
SAG HARBOR
Sag Harbor Chelberg & Battle American Legion Post 388 and Sag Harbor VFW Post 9082 will observe Memorial Day with their annual parade on Monday, May 26.
The parade will step off at 9 a.m. from the WWI Memorial at Otter Pond, where the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 388 plants the Field Of Poppies. The Auxiliary's Girls State Citizen will recite the poem, "In Flanders Fields", beginning the solemn march north on Main Street. The parade stops at each War Memorial, with the Sag Harbor Fire Department on Main Street placing wreaths of remembrance and playing taps. The Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Marine Park, with refreshments following the ceremony at the American Legion on Bay Street. The guest speaker will be Carl Browngardt. "Please start your Memorial Day by coming out for the parade," organizers said.
EAST HAMPTON
The East Hampton Memorial Day Parade, hosted by the Everit Albert Herter Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 550 and American Legion Post 419, takes place on Monday, May 26 at 9 a.m. Immediately following a "Lost at Sea" ceremony on Main Beach at 10 a.m., all participants will head to the parade start point at David's Lane and Route 27 by the East Hampton Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Following the parade, a "Missing Man" ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Windmill Lane at the Green Vets' Memorial. Social activities will follow after the ceremonies at Post 419, located at 15 Montauk Highway.
