- The doors have opened! Crate & Barrel is open for business in Suite 306 near Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams and Samsonite Factory Outlets at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. "Since we first announced Crate & Barrel was joining Tanger Outlets, the excitement around the brand has been incredible," said Tanger Outlets Riverhead Marketing Director Lesley Anthony. "We welcome shoppers to visit the impressive storefront and discover great savings on quality home décor and furniture." (Riverhead Patch)
- Christian Guardino, a legally blind, Patchogue-Medford High School graduate, will once again be on a national stage. Guardino made it to the quarterfinals of "America's Got Talent" in 2017, and this Sunday, will appear on season 20 of "American Idol." Viewers can tune in to see his audition on the season preview of the new "American Idol" season at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC. (Patch)
- A man was charged in Riverhead after violently resisting arrest, police said. A 911 call came in about a domestic incident on West Main Street. Stanley Battle, 37, violated a stay-away order then fled the area. Police chased him but he resisted the arrest which resulted in second-degree harassment and resisting arrest charges. (Riverhead Patch)
- "The Laramie Project" opened at the North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck and will be playing through March 13. "It is a chilling and challenging reminder about the depths of hatred and the heights of humanity within ourselves and our communities," Dan's Papers wrote. The Laramie Project is a seminal work of documentary theater by Moisés Kaufman and the members of Tectonic Theater Project. (Dan's Papers)
