Here are the top stories in Southampton today:
- Save a life, donate an unused cell phone! The phones will be repurposed into lifelines for Suffolk County’s most vulnerable residents. Collection bins are located at each Correctional Facility in the Visiting Lobby, at the Civil Enforcement Bureau in Yaphank, and at 1st District Court in Central Islip. For more information, visit www.SuffolkSheriff.com. (LongIsland.com)
- St. John, a popular clothing retailer with "Hampton and NYC" vibes, has opened a shop at the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. St. John is know for their simple and elegant knits. To find St. John, look for the Bloomingdales outlet in Tanger. (Patch)
- Gas prices at the pumps have been climbing, more than a dollar per gallon in the span of a year. Both Nassau and Suffolk lawmakers will cap local sales tax collection on gas at $3. Maybe now we can breathe a little easier at the pumps. (Patch)
