Here are the top stories in Southampton today:

  1. Gonzalo Cuevas Gomez, 46, a Southampton man, was driving while intoxicated and struck another vehicle, police said. No injuries were reported. The incident tool place on North Sea Road Thursday at 5:46 p.m. Cuevas Gomez was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, police said. (Southampton Patch)
  2. Everyone is concerned about the situation in Ukraine, students at Westhampton Beach Middle School showed their support by putting together packages that included supplies, but more importantly, they provided hand written notes of encouragement to put a smile on the soldiers' faces. By early next week, the soldiers should receive the Westhampton students' packages with their notes of encouragement. (News 12 Bronx)
