Here are the top stories in Southampton today:
- Southampton Town Department of Public Safety and Emergency Management will be dispersing at-home test kits. Those in need can obtain up to two kits per household on a first come, first served basis. Distribution will take place on Thursday, March 3, from 2-5 p.m. in front of the King Kullen shopping center, located at 52 E Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays. For more information on how to obtain at home COVID-19 tests, individuals can go to: www.covidtests.gov. - The Suffolk County Department of Health Services' Division of Environmental Quality will hold its regular monthly Board of Review Hearing on Thursday March 10. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) response, the hearings will be held via Zoom. (Press Release Desk)
- On Feb. 28, in celebration of Black History Month, members of Southampton High School's Black Girl Magic Club and students from Southampton Intermediate School participated in the National African American Read-In Movement. They brought in books authored or illustrated by African Americans and read them to the district's elementary school students. (Patch)
