- A little girl, 6, who police said was run over by a relative's Jeep while sledding at a recreational facility in Southampton Sunday, is expected to make a full recovery, Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman said. Schneiderman said Tuesday that the child sustained no life-threatening injuries, is in "good spirits," and is expected to recover fully. (Southampton Patch)

- The Southampton Arts Center to feature “Outcropping — Indigenous Art Now,” on Feb. 4 opening. "The title ‘Outcropping’ refers to the translation of the word 'Shinnecock' into English as ‘People of the Stony Shore,’ and to the Shinnecocks’ long connection to this land," according to the East End Beacon.
