- Main Prospect restaurant adds Ukrainian favorites to the menu, for a good cause. In the spirit of helping Ukraine, the owners of Main Prospect have added some traditional Ukrainian foods to the menu, along with a signature cocktail, made with Ukrainian vodka —and donating the proceeds to help, according to a great story from Cailin Riley at 27east. - On Saturday, March 12, at the Staller Center for the Arts, Stony Brook University presented an honorary doctorate in music to the world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Stony Brook University President Maurie McInnis presided over the degree granting ceremony and described how Ma’s music “has been the soundtrack to our lives and our collective experience in a way that is utterly unique.” (Stony Brook News)
- Set your calendars! The Great South Bay Music Festival returns to Shorefront Park in Patchogue from July 7 to 10 with more than 55 bands — including half from Long Island — set to perform across three stages. There will be food and beer for those 21 and older. General admission tickets, $49.99-$55.99, are on sale along with two- and four-day passes. - Costco says store hours will return to normal on April 18 as it is ending its senior hours put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Costco's special shopping hours allowed seniors, health care workers and first responders to shop without the general public. (News 12 Long Island)
