2. This week, the Long Island Regional Planning Council may declare a $2.8 billion redevelopment proposal in Ronkonkoma. So far, the project is supported by both Suffolk County and Islip Town leaders. (Subscription: Newsday)
3. The Hallockville Museum Farm Fleece & Fiber Festival is back May 21-22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out an "immersive fiber arts and crafts experience – from sheep to sweater." Hallockville Museum Farm is located at 6038 Sound Ave. in Riverhead. Tickets are $10 for persons aged 13 and older, children 12 and younger are free. The festival will be held rain or shine!
