Here are the top stories in Southampton today:

1. Suffolk police said a hit-and-run crash seriously injured a male pedestrian in Mastic early Sunday morning. The incident took place on Mastic Road, just north of Cumberland Street, when he was struck at about 1:30 a.m. by a vehicle that sped away, according to police. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the 7th Squad at 631-852-8752 or Crime Stoppers, a confidential police hotline, at 1-800-220-TIPS. (Patch)
2. Domingo Pascual, 25, a Flanders man, was charged with driving a stolen car while intoxicated, police said. According to Southampton Town Police on March 4 at 8:22 p.m. Pascual was seen failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway near Springville Road in Hampton Bays. (Westhampton-Hampton Bays Patch)
3. Fire Island National Seashore invites all to join the Spring Birding at the William Floyd Estate located at 245 Park Drive, Mastic Beach. Participants will observe the native and migratory birds in the meadows, woods, and marshlands of the William Floyd Estate. The event will be held on March 19 at 8 a.m. Click here for details.
