  1. To continue to lower the infection of COVID-19, Councilman Rick Martel and the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Management will be dispersing free at home test kits in Hampton Bays' King Kullen Shopping Center, Thursday, March 3, 2-5 p.m. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Jury selection in the trial of Michael Valva, and his former fiancée are set to begin on April 27. His son, Thomas Valva, was found dead at his Center Moriches home in 2020 from hypothermia after repeatedly being forced to sleep in a freezing garage. (News 12 Bronx)
  3. Donors sought to help with the current blood shortage at the Stony Brook Hospital Blood Bank. It only takes 45 minutes — from paperwork to juice and cookies — to donate whole blood, and every donation is used to treat a Stony Brook University Hospital patient. Convenient hours are available Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome, but on weekends, holidays, before 8 a.m. and after 4 p.m. on weekdays, please call 631-444-2634 as hours may vary.
