Here are the top stories today in Southampton:

  1. On Friday, police said fuel was leaking from a half-sunk vessel in North Sea. Police said the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the United States Coast Guard's spill response units were there to assess and contain the spill. Circumstances surrounding the sinking of the 37.5-foot recreational vessel are still being investigated, police said. (Patch)
  2. Summer is right around the corner on Long Island, which means it’s time to get ready for festival season. Summer events kick off with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels at the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach. Here’s a roundup of more must-attend festivities coming to Nassau and Suffolk counties in the coming months. (Subscription: Newsday)
