- According to the Southampton Fire Department, a call came in at 3:02 p.m. about a crash, a person was trapped after a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole in Water Mill Friday, fire officials said. The crash took place at the intersection of Scuttle Hole Road and Cooks Lane. Heavy rescue units from the Southampton Fire Department arrived and worked quickly to extricate the person to a Bridgehampton Fire Department ambulance, officials said. The person sustained non-life-threatening injuries, fire department officials said. (Southampton Patch)
