Here are the top stories in Southampton today:
- Good news! Suffolk County DPW completed dredging at North Sea Harbor. Equipment will be removed prior to Memorial Day weekend. Winter storms caused significant sand movement and shoals in the vicinity of Towd Point at the northern end of North Sea Harbor with water levels reported to be 2 to 3 feet at mid tide. (Facebook)
- What a cool place to own, a Southampton home with a "Mediterranean flair," a wine cellar and bocce court for $1.5 million — reasonable. The 2,300-square-foot stucco home is called “Château La Rouge,” buyers must like red. (Long Island Press)
- If you like crystals, alternative medicine and "conventional approaches to mental and physical health" you are going to love, The Well, a luxury spa opening at Dune Deck Beach Club this summer. Expect treatments such as massages, cuppings, brain fuel and "muscle-repair vitamin IV drip" coming your way. (New York Post)
- Lt. Susan Ralph, of the Southampton Police said, Kelvin F. Mayen-Vasquez, 19, of Quiogue, was arrested after an investigation into allegations showed that he had "repeated intercourse" with an 11-year-old female victim, Ralph said. Mayen is being held in the Suffolk County Jail on numerous charges. (Patch)
