Here are the top stories in Southampton today:
- The Southampton eatery Red Bar Brasserie was sold, according to Lori Levin, a representative of Rubenstein Public Relations, Brown Harris Stevens, agent Maritza Jimenez sold the property. The property, located at 210 Hampton Road, sold for $3.4 million. Details on the buyer were not yet available, she said. "The high visibility location exudes a warm and inviting ambiance, seating 92 patrons, and offering the convenience of grandfathered parking on the side and along Hampton Road," a release said. - "Turning Back Thyme: A Taste of Hallockville" held at the Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead is a series of workshops of historic farm-to-table food production, preparation and preservation practices. Each workshop costs $50 for Hallockville Museum Farm members or $65 for non-members. Members may also sign up for all four workshops for $175. - Hate crimes don't pay, just ask Robert Fehring, a retired Bellport high school teacher, band director and track coach who is now facing up to five years in prison. Fehring pleading guilty to mailing 20 letters with violent threats to pride event organizers on Long Island and New York City through the U.S. Postal Service. (Patch)
