Long Island is expected to be one of the hardest-hit areas in the state, and it could get between 10 to 16 inches of snow, according to Governor Hochul. (Patch)
- News 12 reported, that a publication called National Parks Traveler put Fire Island National Seashore on its list of threatened and endangered parks because of rising sea levels. In December, a $1.7 billion federally funded project started to protect 83 miles of shoreline from the Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point. This weekend the Fire Island Ferry Company says it has not made any decisions about altering service due this weekend's storm.
