Southampton Police Department's 'Shop With A Cop' Coming Soon For Kids
"We believe that every child deserves a special holiday season."

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The Southampton Town Police Department's annual "Shop with a Cop" gathering — an event that aims to bring joy to children in need during the holiday season — will take place December 12 at 6 p.m.
The community is invited to "join us in making a difference," police said.
The families will meet us at police headquarters for a festive meal before heading over to Walmart in Riverhead, where each child will be joined by a Southampton Town police officer to do some holiday shopping.

"Shop with a Cop" pairs children from underserved families with police officers for a day of holiday shopping and fun, police said.
Each child will receive funds to purchase presents for themselves and their families,"fostering a positive relationship between our officers and the community while ensuring children experience the joy of giving and receiving during this festive time," police said.
