
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton Town residents are heading to the polls on Tuesday, June 24, to cast their votes in primaries for Working Families party seats.
In Southampton, one primary is being waged on the Working Families line for the town clerk's position, with Peter Collins throwing his hat into the ring against Mark Bernardo, who is also running on the Democratic slate. Longtime incumbent Southampton Town Clerk Sundy Schermeyer is running on the GOP line.
A primary is also being held on the Working Families Line for a Southampton Town board position; Candidates include Ieshia Galicia, Andrew Smith, and Tom Neely, who is also running on the Democratic line and has served as Southampton's longtime traffic safety director.
