2 Injured When Car Crashes Into Hudson Valley Business
One person was in the car when it crashed, and another was pinned between the car and debris inside the store.
MAHOPAC, NY — Two people were injured Sunday in Putnam County when a vehicle crashed into a Mahopac business.
The Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department said, around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, a report was received about a vehicle into Red Mills Market on Route 6N with one person trapped.
When firefighters got to the scene, it was confirmed that a car had crash into the building with the driver still inside. Additionally, there was one other person — a man — trapped between the car and building debris, authorities said.

The driver of the car was removed and placed into the care of emergency medical personnel, while firefighters worked on extricating the man who was pinned, officials said.
After about 10 minutes, the pinned victim was freed and placed in the care of EMS. Both people were taken to Westchester Medical Center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to a spokesperson.

Mahopac Falls fire remained on the scene while Skyline Towing and Recovery removed the car.
Once that was accomplished, the scene was turned over to the Carmel Building Department.
