Months-Long Investigation Leads To Sting At Crackhouse, Arrest Of Putnam County Couple: Police
The two arrested face a combined 15 felony and 10 misdemeanor charges related to possession and sale of drugs, according to Carmel PD.
MAHOPAC, NY — A tip from neighbors led to the eventual takedown of a Hudson Valley home being used as a crackhouse, according to police.
Police have arrested two Mahopac residents, a 46-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, after a months-long investigation into the sale of crack cocaine from a home on Union Valley Road.
The case began in the fall of 2025 after a Carmel Police Department patrol officer received a complaint during an unrelated call. Carmel Police Department detectives launched an investigation, partnering with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and the Westchester/Putnam FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

As the investigation progressed, investigators obtained search and arrest warrants, and the pair was taken into custody on Dec. 22, shortly after 4 p.m.
Police say cash, quantities of narcotics consistent with crack cocaine, and paraphernalia associated with drug distribution, were seized in the raid.

The two arrested face a combined 15 felony and 10 misdemeanor charges related to possession and sale of controlled substances, according to authorities. They were arraigned in Carmel Town Court. One was released pending future appearance, and the other remanded to the Putnam County Jail pending a bail hearing.
"Carmel PD thanks the Putnam County Sheriff's Office and FBI Safe Streets Task Force and especially the community for their assistance," the department said in a statement announcing the arrests. "Anyone with info on narcotics activity is urged to contact Carmel Police Detectives at 845-628-1300."
