Chabad Of Putnam County Announces High Holiday Services
An outdoor service is planned for Sept. 26.
Press release from Chabad Of Putnam County:
Sept. 9, 2022
Chabad of Putnam invites the community to its traditional High Holiday Services, where prayers are warm, the people friendly, and where everyone feels at home. We offer a welcoming service to all, regardless of background or affiliation. Our style is friendly and welcoming. We seek to make all our attendees as comfortable as possible. The services are conducted with the beginner in mind. Many of the prayers are therefore read in English and a running commentary by the rabbi accompanies the entire service, including stories, inspirational thoughts, teachings about the prayers. The service includes much festive as well as meditative singing.

We offer an excellent children's program during parts of the main services. The program is run by Morah Michal, who will explain the meaning of some of the prayers. Stories, songs, refreshments, contests and prizes will be included in this special holiday children's program.
OUTDOOR SERVICE AND SHOFAR BLOWING:
On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, Monday September 26 at 12:45 pm on the shore of Lake Gleneida we will be providing a 30 minute outdoor service that will include Shofar blowing, Tashlich, several selected meaningful prayers, and a brief holiday message delivered by Rabbi Korer.
