Drug Take Back Day Set In Putnam County
People are invited to dispose of prescription medication, over-the-counter medication and pet medication, according to organizers.
CARMEL, NY — Medication Take Back Day in Putnam County will be Saturday, Oct. 29.
It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, 3 County Center in Carmel.
People are invited to dispose of prescription medication, over-the-counter medication and pet medication, according to organizers.

Syringes, lancets and sharps will not be accepted.
Free naloxone training will also be available.

State Sen. Pete Harckham, Putnam Communities That Care Coalition, Putnam County Department of Health and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is presenting the event.
