9/11 Mass, Vigil

A candlelight vigil, which is hosted annually by the Stephen P. Driscoll Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police, will follow a 7:30 p.m. mass at St. James the Apostle Church (at 14 Gleneida Avenue). The vigil, which will last about 15 minutes, will be held at Cornerstone Park (at the intersection of Fair Street and Route 52) at the Putnam Heroes Monument.

Organizers said this about the event on their website:

"Although we’ve shortened the program, we should all know that we will never forget and will always expect to be there for the reading of our heroes names and the lighting of our candles."
