Hudson Gateway Realtor Foundation Presents Check to Drug Crisis in Our Backyard
The foundation presented presented a donation of $3,000 to the Carmel-based organization.

From HG Realtor Foundation: The Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS®, recently presented a check for $3,000 to Drug Crisis in Our Backyard based in Carmel.
Drug Crisis in Our Backyard was founded in 2012 by Susan and Steve Salomone, and Carol and Lou Christiansen after the loss of their sons to a battle against heroin. The organization promotes awareness about drug use, assists addicted and at-risk individuals and their families, and implements measures, including legislation that holds accountable organizations and medical institutions that perpetuate drug use through over-prescription of opiates and other drugs. It serves Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties.
“Drug Crisis in Our Backyard appreciates the generosity of HG Realtor Foundation,” said Carol Christiansen, Co-Founder. “This money will assist in our continuing efforts to help families struggling with Substance Use Disorder and launch our new Early Intervention Program designed for teens 12-18.” Christiansen is also the owner of Café Realty in Mount Kisco. For more information please contact Drug Crisis in Our Backyard at 845-842-1212.
