Obituary: Janet White of Patterson

Janet White of Patterson, NY, passed away from leukemia at the age of 73 on Monday April 29, 2024, at her home with her husband by her side. They had just recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary after 44 years of marriage.

Janet was born on August 9,1950 in Washington, DC, to the late Arthur and Lavina (Berg) Kreibich. She graduated from Longmont High School in Colorado in 1968. Jan and Reg met and married in Longmont, CO.

Jan loved traveling with Reg. They traveled around the world together. She spent hours in the kitchen baking and cooking for her family – and was really good at it. When her daughters were young, she led their Girl Scout troop for over six years.

Jan had a career in accounting and worked for many years at Best Cheese company in Mt. Kisco and Rye, NY, as their CFO. She enjoyed listening to mystery books on tape during her long commutes to work. After retiring, Janet continued to work part time as an accountant.

Jan is survived by her husband Reg; her two daughters, Janine White (Dan) of Lakewood, CO, and Braden White (Joe) of Patterson, NY, and her two grandchildren Christopher and David. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gene Kreibich, Keith Kreibich, and Carin Kent.

Memorial Hours will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2024, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Dwyer’s Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY, 12563
