John Edward Byrne of Patterson, NY, passed away Tuesday February 6, 2024, at home with his family at his side at the age of 64.

John was born September 10, 1959, in Greenwich, CT, son of the late Daniel and Raphael (Pallatto) Byrne. On February 14, 1981, he married Laura Van Hart in Greenburgh, NY. They moved from White Plains, NY to Putnam Lake, NY, in 1987 where they have resided ever since.

John was a Project Manager for Queen City Demolition & Recycling in New Rochelle, NY. John was an Usher and dedicated Parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Patterson for the past thirty years.

John is survived by his wife Laura; children, Jessica Strawbridge and her husband John of New Fairfield, CT, Liza Balena and her husband Oliver of Farmingdale, NY, Casie Hernandez and her husband Geraldo of Patterson, NY; brother Stephen Byrne of Patterson, NY; sisters Marie Behrbom of Poughkeepsie, NY, Elizabeth Byrne of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Ava, Cecelia, Jacob, Jack, Oliver, Jonathan, William, Charlotte and Francis and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday February 12, 2024, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, NY. The interment will be private. Calling hours will take place on Sunday February 11, 2024, at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
