Obituary: Marie Lillian Tedesco, Longtime Mahopac Resident

Marie Lillian Tedesco of New Fairfield, CT, passed away Sunday October 22, 2023, in Danbury, CT, at the age of 88.

Marie was born August 4, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Diana) Pace. She graduated from St. Brendan’s High School in Queens, then received her associate degree from SUNY Empire State. On August 22, 1959, she married Ralph Tedesco at St. Gregory The Great Church in Bellerose, NY. They lived in Howard Beach, NY until 1970. At that time they moved to Mahopac, NY where they lived for twenty-seven years. In 1997, they moved to New Fairfield, CT where they have lived for the past twenty-six years. Marie had worked as a Lab Technician at Peekskill Hospital, then worked as a Claim Processor for American Progressive Insurance Company in Brewster, NY before retiring.

Marie is survived by her husband Ralph, son Ralph Tedesco and his wife Summer of Danbury, CT, daughter Diane Tedesco of Carmel, NY, and daughter Jeanne Devanny and her husband Joe of New Fairfield, CT. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Alex and Emma Devanny. She was predeceased by her stepfather Nicholas DeProspo and two brothers Thomas and Charles Pace.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday October 30, 2023, at 12:30pm at St. Edward The Confessor Church in New Fairfield, CT, followed by the interment at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery in Brewster, NY. Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 29, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave., Brewster, NY.
