Putnam To Offer 2 Drive-Thru Flu Vaccine Clinics In Brewster
Fall is the time for your annual flu shot.
BREWSTER, NY — The Putnam County Department of Health will offer two drive-thru flu vaccine clinics in Brewster this fall.
For senior residents, health officials will be offering the High Dose Flu Vaccine. Studies have shown this vaccine appears more effective in fighting flu in older people, they said.
The first will be from 2-6:30 p.m. Sept. 25. The second, 2-6:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Both will be at 1 Geneva Road.

What you need:
- Appointments are required. Make one online here.
- The cost is $30 but flu shots are free to residents 65 and older or with a Medicare card.
- Residents must always remain in their vehicles at drive-thru clinics.
- Short-sleeved shirts are necessary for vaccine administration.
- Consent forms must be completed prior to clinic, and presented at the time of the vaccination. They will not be available at the clinic but are available online here.
- Bring proof of residency (driver’s license) and Medicare card.
