A 21-year-old Southeast man is facing two misdemeanor drunken driving charges following a one-car accident in town, police say.
State troopers arrested the resident after they discovered he was the driver of a vehicle that crashed into rocks and trees, according to officials. They found the 2011 Ford pickup truck near the intersection of Minor Road and Route 312 at about 5:45 a.m. Saturday.
There were no injuries reported and authorities said there were no passengers in the vehicle.
According to officials, the man's blood-alcohol level was 0.19 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. He was charged with two infractions and two misdemeanors: driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. The latter typically indicates a blood-alcohol level of at least 0.18.
The defendant was released pending a Sept. 12 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
