Bicyclist Dies After Colliding With An SUV In Sunset Park: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY — A 49-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed after colliding with an SUV in Sunset Park on Wednesday, police said.
The cyclist was riding an e-bike when he collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado on 53rd Street and 4th Avenue at 9:10 a.m., police said.
EMS responded to the scene and found the victim on the ground unresponsive with head and body trauma, police said.

The 49-year-old man was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene.

There have been no arrests at this time, and an investigation by the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad remains ongoing.
