  2. The 50th annual New York City Marathon comes to town this Sunday, after being "virtual" in 2020. Its route passes through the heart of Sunset Park along Fourth Avenue. (NYC Patch)
  3. Scores of New York City politicians headed to Puerto Rico this past week, including soon to be Councilwoman Alexa Avilés, for the annual Somos Conference. The 5-day event is supposed to connect NYC elected officials with Puerto Rican ones, so as to better serve the city's Hispanic communities. Avilés, who is of Puerto Rican descent, is hosting the "Nos Tenemos Roundtable" that will bring "conference attendees into conversation with local social justice groups." (Gothamist)
