Camera Shop Finishes Construction Of Industry City Flagship
AbelCine finished the construction of their new flagship this week that has a showroom, camera and lens rentals, 4K theatre and more.
SUNSET PARK, NY — A camera and video equipment store finished construction of their giant flagship location at Industry City after they moved from their West Village spot last year.
AbelCine took over 44,000 square-feet of space at 88 35th St. for their new headquarters that include a showroom of cameras and gear, equipment rentals, event and training spaces, a 107-seat theatre with 4K projection and more, according to the owners.
The spot will also eventually house a "First CineMakers" public exhibit that will show off some of the earliest motion picture cameras. The exhibit has not been completed yet but owners expect to open it sometime this year.

AbelCine opened in 1989 and maintained a flagship location in the West Village for years. The company started to move their development center to Industry City in 2016 an deventually ditched their Manhattan digs completely for Sunset Park.
