Through Aug. 14, major crimes were collectively up about 10 percent in the 72nd, which covers Sunset Park, Windsor Terrace and Park Slope South. An analysis of crime data from the first half of the year seemed to show that the uptick was mostly attributable to Sunset Park itself, rather than the precinct's other neighborhoods.
NCOs are all issued NYPD email addresses, which they distribute to the public. Richard Fuentes can be reached at richard.fuentes@nypd.org, and Sue Liu can be reached at sue.liu@nypd.org.
