1. Today is the long-awaited Election Day across the city. Democrat Eric Adams took a reporter on a walk through Brooklyn Heights, where his main message was how to breathe calmly to reduce anxiety, while Republican Curtis Sliwa brought the same reporter into his studio apartment filled with 15 rescue cats. 2. Sunday was Halloween, but yesterday and today are Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which is celebrated in Mexican communities, including in Sunset Park. This year Angel Family Farm in Orange County, New York, is bringing flowers to Sunset Park and other heavily-Mexican neighborhoods that were hit hard in the early days of the pandemic.
