  1. A fire at a deli in Sunset Park–43rd St. and Fifth Ave. – on Wednesday morning left two firefighters and one civilian injured. It took firefighters around two hours to put out. (News 12 Bronx)
  2. The police are looking for a man caught on camera who's suspected of leaving hand-written hate notes outside of a Sunset Park mosque in October. (Brooklyn Reporter)
  3. If all goes according to plan New York City should start vaccinating 5-11 year-olds today, after the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine received approval on Tuesday. The city's planning on holding a week-long school vaccination drive. The Sunset Park locations are set for P.S. 140, and P.S. 94. (NYC Patch)
  4. Democrats will continue to solidly hold the City Council, but in one Southern Brooklyn district bordering Sunset Park, Democratic incumbent Justin Brannan still faces steep competition from his republican rival Brian Fox. The results will come down to absentee ballots. (Brooklyn Paper)
