Man Charged In Sunset Park Attack, Left Victim Clinging To Life: NYPD

BROOKLYN, NY - A Long Island man was charged in an attack on another man following a dispute in Sunset Park last month, authorities said.

Joseph Stine, 32, of Wantagh, NY, was charged with assault after an Oct. 4 dispute at the intersection of 7 Avenue and 60 Street escalated into a physical brawl with a 48-year-old man, police said.

The fight crescendoed as Stine “punched and kicked the victim” several times about the body, resulting in the victim’s hospitalization, police said.

Medics rushed the victim to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in critical condition while Stine fled the area in a pick-up truck, police said.
