This Guy Groped a 15-Year-Old Girl on the R Train, Police Say
The alleged groper struck earlier this month near Sunset Park's 36th Street station, according to the NYPD.

SUNSET PARK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for a man (pictured above) who allegedly groped a 15-year-old girl on the R train earlier this month.
The suspect boarded the train just before 8 a.m. on April 6 at the line's 36th Street station, according to the NYPD.

He sat next to the victim and started to rub her thigh and lower back, according to police.
The girl left the train at the line's DeKalb Avenue stop, but the suspect followed her and touched her back again, police said — only ceasing after she left the station.

Detectives describe the man as being in his 20s.

This alleged crime took place in the NYPD's 72nd Precinct, which covers Sunset Park.
According to official police statistics, through April 3, major crimes were collectively up about 23 percent compared to the same time period last year. A total of 303 major crimes had been reported, compared to 246 in 2015.
