Police Seek Borough Park Electric Bike Thief: NYPD

SUNSET PARK, NY — Police are searching for a man who strolled into the common area hallway of a low-rise apartment building without permission and took off with an electric bike that belonged to one of the residents, according to police.

The theft took place before 2 p.m. on Tuesday at an apartment complex located at the corner of 42 Street and 12th Avenue in Borough Park, according to police. Authorities said the bike is worth approximately $1,100.

No one was injured at the apartment building. The suspect fled the scene, but police were not able to determine which direction he went.

Anyone with information about the man, pictured above, is asked to call the police or reach out to the 66th Precinct.
