Here are the top stories in Sunset Park today:
- This week the Sunset Park area shelters are featuring the 'Betty White Special,' what better way to honor the memory of the 'Queen of Comedy' than with PUPPIES! Meet Vodka Soda, Apple Pie, Birthday Cake and French Fry. They are waiting to meet you. Remember, if you can't adopt, fostering a needy animal in a safe, comforting and supportive environment while she waits to be adopted, helps socialize a shelter pet to enhance her adoption potential. (Sunset Park Patch)
- Who’s hiring in the Sunset Park area? There are new job listings this week, some are full-time, or temporary and some are work from home positions. So, it is important to look and see where you might fit in. (Sunset Park Patch)
- "Hopeful" is a public digital art project to inspire optimism. It is the brainchild of Charlie Hewitt, a Maine artist whose billboards are currently installed at six Bronx subways. Now there are two in Sunset Park, one at the 36th Street Station (where the shooting event took place last week), and the other at the 45th Street station entrance. The billboards, with just one word "Hopeful" — in radiant red, yellow, green, and purple colors, will be lit and remain at the stations for the next month. (PR Newswire)
- OTG, an airport hospitality specialist, announced that it has reached agreements with four companies that began as entrepreneurial start-ups that will now offer products at restaurants and bars inside OTG terminals in New York area airports. (The Moodie Davitt Report)
